Director Mahendar will direct Mahakali, replacing Rajendra Babu, who passed away recently. The film started shooting with Malashree in the lead, under Rajendra Babu's direction, but the sudden demise of the director put this project on hold. Hence, director Mahendar, has stepped in to shoot this action entertainer. To be produced under Simhaadri Productions, the film is all set to be launched on January 24.
