Jennifer in, Neettoo out
Director Om Prakash's ( AK 47 and Hubli fame) upcoming Kannada film Huli went on the floors early this week and the muhurat was a grand affair. Kishore will play the lead opposite Mumbai girl Jennifer Kotwal.
Actress Neettoo was initially approached to play the female lead but was replaced by Jennifer for some unknown reasons. Meanwhile, actress Neettoo said in a leading daily, “The role was a bit too glamorous for me and I wouldn’t have been comfortable doing it.” Sources also say that director Om Prakash and producer Sudhindra have been understanding about the issue and have respected Neettoo's decision to opt out.
“I don’t bother if I’m the first choice or the last. All I care about are the maker and the script. As an actress, it’s very important for me to work with a good technician and Om Prakash fits the bill. There’ve been many films in which I have replaced someone or my role has gone to some other heroine. It’s not a big deal,” said Jenny to a leading English daily.
