The Kannada film industry is gearing up to celebrate Ambarish's birthday who is turning 60 and completing 40 years in the film industry on May 29. Actors and filmmakers are planning to celebrate the star's birthday in a grand manner. Director S. Narayan and producer Rockline Venkatesh are in full swing for organizing the event.

Talking about the event, producer Rockline Venkatesh said, “Kannada film industry is coming together for this show as a mark of respect. We are excited about the event and the rehearsal of the event is on now in full throttle. All the female leads from Ambarish's films will participate in the event.”

Talking about Ambarish, Venkatesh said, “He is a great supporter of Sandalwood. He helped us during tough times and always ensured that the industry sailed smoothly.”

Ambarish entered Kannada film industry through the film Naagara Haavu. The actor has acted in about 208 films till date. Paduvaralli Pandavaru, Ranganayaki, Chakravyuha, Olavina Udugore are some of his blockbusters. He has been awarded Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award, Karnataka State Award for Best Actor (for his performance in Antha), Karnataka State Award for Best Supporting Actor (for his performance in Masanada Hoovu ), NTR Award and Nandhi Award till date.
