Sandalwood stars take time out to attend IPL matches and cheer for their favourite team despite their busy shooting schedule. Actors Yash, Santhosh, and actress Divya Spandana were some of the celebrities who are excited about the ongoing IPL matches.
Yash on being quizzed about the significance of IPL matches, “I love how this tournament brings a sector of global representatives together. Kevin Pietersen’s tweet is an example. He said that they were enemies a few days ago and now they were all in the same dugout.”
Actress Divya Spandana is an ardent lover of IPL matches and she even gives away prizes to her fans by quizzing about IPL matches on her twitter page. When asked about whether RCB will clinch the IPL trophy this year, Divya said,”It is too early to judge what the team will do. We have a fantastic team. Hopefully, this time the cup will be ours.”
“I am eagerly awaiting a lot of drama at the match against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday. Many sixes, fantastic catches and nail biting moments are expected.” she adds.
Divya also said that her favourite player is Chris Gayle. She further praised the potential of players Virat Kohli, Vinay Kumar, AB De Villiers, Zaheer Khan and Muralidharan of RCB team.
Actor Santhosh on being quizzed about his favourite team and players, “My first favourite team is RCB. I have a weakness when it comes to Shahrukh Khan because he is so amazing. So, I support Kolkata Knight Riders at times. I also support Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings."
