Dr. Bharathi: Spirited artist
Badami House Priyadarshini Hall, the venue chosen by the Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy to organize Belli Hejje (the 12th in the series of talks) was truly crowded during the event. The main speaker at this Belli Hejje was Dr. Bharathi Vishnuvardhana.
Dr. Bharathi urged for unity in the Kannada cinema industry as seen in other language film industries in the country. Dr. Bharathi spoke about her entry into films and her experiences in her long innings. She was named Bharathi since she was born on Independence Day of 1958. In her speech, she shared her memorable experiences and instances from her long career.
N.S. Nagabharana, Chairman of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy and senior journalist K.H. Savithri Suresh Kumar were also on the dais for the programme.
It was a treat for all fans of Dr. Bharathi Vishnuvardhana.
