Two years after Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra residence in Mumbai, a worker in the mortuary department at Cooper Hospital in the city has now claimed the actor was "murdered". The mortuary worker, Roopkumar Shah, alleged that the actor's dead body was brought to the hospital on the day he was working and there were several police officials present on the premises. Speaking to news agency ANI, Shah said, "We saw that it was Sushant Singh Rajput‘s body after we removed the clothes from his body." He added, "I'm experienced in this line of work for around 28 years. I noticed a difference in the marks on his neck and went to speak to my seniors, who told me that they will discuss the matter at a later time."

Roopkumar Shah went on to state, "When I saw Sushant Singh Rajput's body, it didn't appear to be a case of suicide. Injury marks were there on his body." He also said, "It's the doctor's job as to what to write in a post mortem report. He should get justice. Everyone can tell by looking at the picture of Sushant Singh Rajput that he was murdered. If the investigating agency will call me, I will also tell them."

Shah's claims have left many across the country shocked, with Sushant's sister Shweta Singh Kirti urging the CBI to take a deeper look into the evidence. Sharing a photo of the late actor from a news channel on Instagram, she wrote, "If there is an ounce of truth to this evidence, we urge CBI to really look into it diligently. We have always believed that you guys will do a fair investigation and let us know the truth. Our heart aches to find no closure as yet. 🙏#justiceforsushantsinghrajput."
