'Thalapathy' Vijay's Varisu is all set to be one of the biggest films in the actor's illustrious career and will be out in cinemas for Pongal in January 2023. The upcoming film directed by Vamshi Paidipally under Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations banner also stars national sensation Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead and features music by Thaman. S. In that light, the star-studded Varisu audio launch had taken place on Saturday, December 24, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai and witnessed a phenomenal audience turnout. With the film's audio release ceremony still the talk of the town, broadcasting giant Sun TV has now announced that the gala event will be telecast on the leading Tamil channel as a New Year special on January 1 at 6.30 p.m.
Sun TV has released two back-to-back exciting Varisu audio launch promos on their YouTube channel showing several big moments from the ceremony that also included Vijay's powerful speech and his live singing performance of the chart-topping hit 'Ranjithame' song. The audio release event continues to top the trends across all social networking forums as the event drew fans from several parts of Chennai and many other places in Tamil Nadu. Fans have been waiting for the Varisu audio launch telecast date announcement to witness a number of big moments from the event that also included the live performance of composer Thaman and the speeches from director Vamshi, producer Dil Raju,, choreographer Jani master, and actors Rashmika, Prakash Raj, VTV Ganesh, Shaam, Srikanth, Sathish, among others.
With only three weeks before the theatrical release of Varisu, the songs in the film have received stellar feedback from fans, with the album declared to be a chart-buster treat for Vijay's fans. Two new songs - 'Jimikki Ponnu' and 'Vaa Thalaivaa' - were released and performed for the first time at the audio launch event, and have now turned out to be hits alongside the rest of the tracks in the album that includes 'Ranjithame', 'Thee Thalapathy', and 'Soul of Varisu'.
