Vijay Sethupathi's debut Hindi film's interesting first look released - remake of this Tamil film!
Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi will be making his debut in Hindi cinema with Mumbaikar, the Hindi remake of Lokesh Kanagaraj's debut directorial venture, Maanagaram. The film which featured Sri, Sundeep Kishan, Regina Cassandra, Munishkanth Ramadoss, Madhusudhan Rao, Charlie, earned highly positive reviews from the critics and general audience. The film has now been remade in Hindi and it is called Mumbaikar. The Hindi remake is directed by acclaimed cinematographer Santosh Sivan and features the young and promising Vikrant Massey in the lead role. The makers have now released the first look poster of the film and it introduces us to the central characters of the film.
Mumbaikar will be a hyperlink cinema that involves a lot of characters that come together at one point and this poster gives us a glimpse of all the characters and their looks. Vijay Sethupathi will be reprising the comic role played by Munishkanth Ramadoss in the original. It is going to be exciting to see Vijay Sethupathi in a quirky character of that style and let us see what he has brought to the character with his performance. The first look poster has opened to a very good response from the fans and film buffs. The poster was released today (April 3) marking the birthday of Vikrant Massey. The young actor thanked the entire team of Mumbaikar for presenting the first look poster on his special day.
An elated Vikrant Massey wrote on his Twitter page, "This birthday is doubly special for me. Thanks for all your heartfelt wishes as I'm glad to share with you all, the first look of my next film - #Mumbaikar. Gratitude ". The film is produced by Shibu Thameens who is known for bankrolling popular Tamil films like Puli, Saamy Square, and Iru Mugan. Apart from directing the film, Santosh Sivan has also handled the cinematography. Prashant Pillai is the music composer of the film. Apart from Vikrant Massey and Vijay Sethupathi, the film also stars Tanya Maniktala, Sachin Khedekar, Sanjai Mishra, and Ranvir Shorey in supporting roles.
The shooting of Mumbaikar has already been completed and the makers are currently busy with the post production works which is happening in full swing. The makers are expected to make an announcement regarding the film's release plans very soon.
