Filmmaker Ram has made a name for himself for making films that address contemporary issues.
Last year, his Taramani fetched him laurels from the Tamil film industry as well as among fans.
In the midst of this, Ram, who has also made a film titled Peranbu with Malayalam superstar Mammootty had its world premiere at the Rotterdam Film Festival a couple of days on January 27.
Produced under the Shree Raaja Lakshmi Films banner with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, Peranbu also stars Anjali and Thanga Meengal fame Sadana.
Delighted by the response to the screening of the at the Rotterdam Film Festival, an elated producer JSK Satish of the JSK Films conveyed his gratitude on Twitter.

Although no theatrical release date has been fixed for Peranbu, the adulation the film has received will surely lead the makers to bring it out quicker.
