First On Net: Vikram's Saamy Square Motion Poster Review
It was just a while back that the announcement everybody had been waiting for came in the form of the Saamy Square motion poster launch and ahoy, it is here now.
The Saamy Square motion poster starts off showing our beloved Vikram in the form of an idol and he is fitting to a tee in stature. We then get the first glimpse of the real 'Chiyaan' when he flexes his muscles to deliver the classic knuckle-crack from the original film. It is from this point Devi Sri Prasad delivers a thumping score. Furthermore, we are get yet another additional treat in the form of the trailer date set to be unveiled on May 26. In short, absolute MASS!
Being directed by Hari, the sequel to the 2003 blockbuster, Saamy, the upcoming action drama features Keerthy Suresh as the female lead with Devi Sri Prasad scoring the music under the Thameens Films banner.
Saamy Square also includes actor Bobby Simha playing the prime antagonist Ravana Pichai, alongside John Vijay as Devendra Pichai and OAK Sundar as Mahendra Pichai; all three being the sons of Perumal Pichai portrayed by Kota Srinivasa Rao in the original film.
The film’s events reportedly take place 29 years from the events of Saamy and will see Vikram playing dual roles - as Aarusaamy, the father and Ramasamy, the son.
Although no release date has yet been announced, we can expect the film to come out sometime in the second half of this year.
