Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman has scaled huge peaks in Indian cinema ever since his entry into the world of cinema establishing himself as a powerful brand entity in the projects he gets associated with. Now, the celebrated music director is introducing his son, A. R. Ameen, as a singer in the second season of the 7Up Madras Gig, which also saw names like Yuvan Shankar Raja, Dharan, Ghibran, Sean Roldan, Darbuka Siva and music Keba Jeremiah too participate. The song titled "Sago" composed by A. R. Rahman with lyrics penned by Vivek and Aaryan Dinesh Kanagaratnam (ADK) sung by A. R. Ameen has been released with the young and up-and-coming artiste getting featured along with his father in the video.

AR Ameen made his debut in films previously as a singer in the Hollywood flick, Couples Retreat, with the song titled "NaNa" after which he contributed vocals for the "Maula Wa Sallim" song in O Kadhal Kanmani, "Cricket Kara" in Sachin: A Billion Dreams, and most recently "Pullinangal" in Rajinikanth’s sci-fi blockbuster, 2.0. Fans have been waiting for A. R. Ameen’s "Sago" ever since he was announced to be part of the second season of 7Up Madras Gig with many hoping he would go on to charter his own course in music just like his father.
