Meanwhile, Yogi Babu has made an important clarification on his Twitter page, about his involvement in an upcoming Tamil film. Sharing the poster of a Tamil film titled Dhowalath, Yogi Babu said that he is in no way associated with the film and requested fans to be aware of it. Yogi Babu shared the poster and wrote, “இன்று இந்த விளம்பரம் பார்த்தேன். எனக்கும் ’தெளலத்’ படத்துக்கும் எந்தவித சம்பந்தமும் இல்லை எனத் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன்.” The tweet is roughly translated as, “I saw the advertisement of this film called 'Dhowalath' today. I would like to inform you that I do not have any connection with this film”.

Going by Yogi Babu’s tweet, it looks like the makers of Dhowalath tried to promote the film using Yogi Babu’s fame. This is not something new for Yogi Babu as there were a lot of movies that were falsely promoted using Yogi Babu’s name to cash in some popularity. However, this time Yogi Babu has decided to keep a full stop to this practice. Dhowalath is said to be a long delayed Tamil film that has been waiting for release for more than 5 years. Dhowalath is directed by Sakthee Sivan.

As far as Yogi Babu's lineup of films are concerned, it includes Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, Dhanush's Karnan, Santhanam's Dikkiloona, G.V.Prakash's Adangathey, Vishnu Vishal's Jagajala Killadi, director Manikandan's Kadaisi Vivasayi, Sunaina's Trip, Vemal's Kanni Raasi, Samuthirakani's Vellai Yaanai, etc. Yogi Babu will be seen playing the lead role in debutant Madonne Ashwin's Mandela and Kirumi fame director Anucharan's Panni Kutty.
