Y.S.R. Reddy makes film debut

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy is making his debut in Gokaraju, starring Brahmanandam. The movie is being presented by C.C. Reddy, produced by Y. Sonia Reddy under Visu Films International film banner and Arun Prasad is the director.

The muhurat shot was at the CM’s official Begumpet residence on Saturday. Brahmanandam plays a tribal, who wants to meet the CM and hand over a petition regarding his village. Security guards beat him and are taking him away, when Rajasekhar Reddy, catching sight of the bleeding Brahamanandam, calls him into his office and enquires about the nature of his grievance. The CM was calm and went through the shot like a veteran.

CM Rajasekhar Reddy, who had agreed to do the movie in March, is playing the role of socially conscientious politician. The movie is purported to be inspired by the 1939 Hollywood classic, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.

At a time when veteran actors like Chiranjeevi are getting ready to enter politics, the CM seems to have picked the right time to enter movies!
