Vishnu Vishal is gearing up for the release of his new film, FIR, which is slated to open in theatres everywhere on February 11. Being released in Tamil and Telugu languages, new visuals from the upcoming film were screened at the trailer launch event on Thursday, which was also later released online. During the FIR trailer launch event, Vishnu Vishal spoke about reaching new heights in his career after the stupendous success of Ratsasan in 2018 and how he began to strive more to improve himself as an actor. He also expressed his gratitude to people in the film to the distributors, including his father Ramesh Kudawla for helping him. At one point in the event, Vishal Vishal is seen getting emotional as his father takes to the dias and speaks in high praise after making a name for himself in the Tamil film industry. 

Ramesh Kudawla starts his speech by saying that it is a proud moment for him to be on the stage. He goes on to thank the people of Tamil Nadu for accepting Vishnu Vishal as an actor, while extending his appreciation to the press and media for being there to compliment him on his performances, and also acknowledged actor-producer Udhayanidhi Stalin and his Red Giant Movies banner for coming on board to release FIR. Ramesh Kudawla then goes on to talk about FIR and informs that he has watched the film, while also stating that it has moved him a lot and congratulated the entire team for their work. 

Produced under the Vishnu Vishal Studioz banner, FIR also has Raiza Wilson, Manjima Mohan, Reba Monica John, Gautham Menon, and Gaurav Narayanan in major starring roles, with music composed by Ashwath. Vishnu Vishal had also revealed at the FIR trailer launch event that two-time National Award-winning actor Dhanush had recently watched the film and praised him for his performance.
