The makers of Suriya's Etharkkum Thunindhavan have officially announced the new release plans of the movie and the update has delighted the fans who have been waiting for the d-day. ET which was supposed to hit the screens on February 4 will now release on March 10, Thursday, in theatres across the globe. The announcement was made by Sun Pictures through an official tweet and it has made the fans super excited. The theatres in Tamil Nadu are currently functioning with 50% occupancy owing to the high number of Covid 19 cases. Irrespective of the occupancy status, ET will release on March 10 and one can expect the film to take a solid opening at the box office.

The film will have a pan Indian release in 5 different languages - Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. Suriya's nationwide reach and popularity have increased post the release of Jai Bhim and we can expect Etharkkum Thunindhavan to reach a wider range of audiences. Directed by Pandiraj, the film has music composed by D Imman, while the cinematography and editing departments are headed by R Rathnavelu and Ruben respectively. Doctor fame Priyanka Arul Mohan plays the female lead, while the supporting cast includes Sathyaraj, Saranya Ponvannan, Devadarshini, MS Bhaskar, Ilavarasu, Bigg Boss fame Ciby, Cook with Comali fame Pugazh, Ramar, Thangadurai, Akash Premkumar, Dhivya Dhuraisamy, and others.

Suriya's last theatrical release was Kaappaan which released in September 2019 and it has been 2.5 years since the fans saw a Suriya film in a theatre. ET will be an action-packed family entertainer that is expected to showcase Suriya in a different dimension. The film is currently in the post-production stages, getting ready for its grand release. The trailer of the film is expected to be out in the last week of February and that will give us an idea of what the film is about.
