Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram has been dominating the office since Day 1 of its release on 3 June 2022 and for various reasons. The film is the comeback of Kamal Haasan back on the big screen after a 4 year-long hiatus and it has also met Hollywood's standard of filmmaking which has resulted in people flocking to theatres to catch the film.

The digital rights of the film were acquired by Disney+ Hotstar and saw its grand release on the OTT platform in five languages (Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi) on 8 July 2022. After dominating the big screen, Vikram is now dominating the small screens as well. the film has smashed records with its premiere on Disney+ Hotstar and registered the highest opening weekend across all languages on the platform. The film is expected to continue its blockbuster run on the platform as it does not seem to be slowing down at all. Written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film stars Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, and Suriya in a memorable cameo role as the ruthless Rolex.
