2021 has started off on a bang for 'Thalapathy' Vijay and his fans as his Master, which had been delayed in its theatrical release due to the pandemic for nearly a year, hit screens this Pongal and has turned out to be a mega box office success, with the film set to begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video from January 29. With Master now out, the focus has gradually begun shifting to Vijay's next, the tentatively titled Thalapathy 65, being produced by the prestigious Sun Pictures and under Nelson Dilipkumar's direction. Nelson, who has been busy with the post-production of his upcoming film, Doctor, alongside the pre-production of Thalapathy 65, on Thursday wished actor-producer Sivakarthikeyan on the launch of his next venture, Don.

Being produced by Lyca Productions in association with Sivakarthikeyan Productions, Don was announced on Wednesday, with debutant Cibi Chakaravarthi as the director and Anirudh Ravichander coming on board for the music. In that light, Nelson Dilipkumar, who recently wrapped up the shooting for his Doctor, which also includes SK in the lead role, wished the star on social media on the launch of his Don. Taking to Twitter, Nelson wished Sivakarthikeyan and wrote, "Total jolly vibes all the best my dearest friends  @Siva_Kartikeyan @anirudhofficial @Dir_Cibi @KalaiArasu_ @SKProdOffl @LycaProductions". In turn, Sivakarthikeyan replied back asking , "Nandri na Doctor update edhuvum illaya ?? Vijay sir Padam update ???( epdi korthu vuttaenaaa )", with Nelson then answering back, "Hahahaha .... adei vaazthu sonnathuku ipadiya". 

This latest banter between Sivakarthikeyan and Nelson Dilipkumar, who have been good friends for a long time, has won the hearts of fans. Post SK's request, fans too have been flooding Nelson's timeline requesting for a Thalapathy 65 update, which was officially launched in December last year. As of now, Nelson Dilipkumar’s only release has been the box office hit Kolamaavu Kokila starring Nayanthara and there is plenty of excitement surrounding his Doctor next, especially after coming on board Vijay's Thalapathy 65. Sun Pictures’ Thalapathy 65 will include music by Anirudh Ravichander, which will be his third-time associating with Vijay after Kaththi and Master, with 'Rowdy Baby' choreographer Jani Master as well recently announcing to have joined the project. As for Nelson's Doctor, the film was announced recently by Sivakarthikeyan to be hitting screens worldwide this Summer.
