It is almost known to everybody that using certain sites is not safe for personal data and that this may cause high vulnerabilities towards losing personal and sensitive information. Hackers target a number of such sensitive sites, mostly banking, financial services and porn websites, to steal data from unaware users and in turn using this data to make money by cheating the users themselves! Now, in what has come to be known as one of the biggest cyber attacks, hackers have stolen and leaked the data of over 2 million users of the popular XXX adult porn website myfreecams dot com!

Reports state that the names, e-mail ids, billing addresses, usernames, passwords and other sensitive account data of users from the Myfreecams dot com site were stolen by hackers and then sold on a popular hacking forum, especially in exchange for Bitcoins! Reports state that this data could be used to blackmail the users or even phishing, where they could lose a lot more, including their money. This porn website is said to have over 70,000 visitors a month and there are claims that it is placed 27th on the list of most popular websites. Some speculations are that the data of 10,000 users is going for about $1500 worth of Bitcoins and that buyer can in turn sell the same data to online miscreants for about $10,000!

Some news reports claim that the porn website has acknowledged the data leak and has gone ahead and asked its users to change their passwords and protect their accounts. The company has also gone on to state that the usernames, passwords and account details have been stolen and that their individual token balances on the site could be wiped out by the hackers. Just recently, another highly popular porn site - Pornhub dot com faced some major issues, after credit card companies like Visa and MasterCard, stopped allowing the usage og their cards on the platform, after allegations of various illegal activities on the site. Following this decision, the website removed all unverified videos from its platform, to ensure that there was no illegal content on their site.
