'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Jailer directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Kalanithi Maran's Sun Pictures has taken a sensational opening in theatres around the world, with the Telugu version of the film released in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana by Suneil Narang's Asian Multiplex Pvt Ltd and Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations banners too witnessing a phenomenal audience turnout. Released in a good number of theatres in both the Telugu-speaking states, the duo addressed the media today after the Jailer first show and informed that several new theatres are being added across various centres from the matinee shows after the strong opening in the morning.

Producer Dil Raju, best known among Tamil cinema fans for producing the 'Thalapathy' Vijay blockbuster Varisu released earlier this year, addressed the media about Jailer's opening and said, "More theatres are being added since the matinee show. The film is a big hit already. It has received a unanimous positive response across the world. We will know its range in a few more days. The official numbers will be revealed after Monday. A good number of theatres are booked for Bholaa Shankar's release already and that film will be getting the first preference till August 15. After that, based on the occupancy, theatres will be allotted accordingly." Producer Suneil Narang too extended his gratitude to Sun Pictures' Kalanithi Maran in offering them the Jailer Telugu release rights and said, "The film is set to become a big hit here too and we wish to thank the audience for the response."
