Marvel fans, assemble! For Thor: Love and Thunder is all set to arrive early in India - a day before the US. The film starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson and Christian Bale who makes his big MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) debut, will hit the Indian screens on 7 July 2022 in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. With this, The film will see Chris Hemsworth reprise his role as the God of Thunder after 3 years post Avengers: Endgame. The film also marks the return of Taika Waititi in the director's chair after five years post the success of Thor: Ragnarok.
Thor: Love and Thunder picks up after the events of Avengers: Endgame. The synopsis of the latest film in the MCU reads, "Thor embarks on a journey unlike anything he's ever faced -- a quest for inner peace. However, his retirement gets interrupted by Gorr the God Butcher, a galactic killer who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie, Korg and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who -- to his surprise -- inexplicably wields his magical hammer. Together, they set out on a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher's vengeance".
Thor Love and Thunder’s trailer was released earlier in May and fans of this comic book franchise were introduced to Christian Bale's Gorr the God Butcher. The trailer promises an epic battle and a glimpse of Zeus, played by Russell Crowe, who was also seen in the trailer. The trailer gave us a glimpse of various elements that are expected to be seen in this film. From Thor declaring that his superhero-ing days are over, to him finding himself in the quest he embarks upon, to Natalie Portman picking up Mjolnir only to become the Goddess of Thunder, to even Chris Pratt from Guardians of the Galaxy making an appearance. Needless to say, there are many things waiting to pique our interest.
