'Thalapathy' Vijay has kicked off 2023 on a grand note with the spectacular box office success of his latest film, Varisu, directed by Vamshi Paidipally under blockbuster Telugu producer-distributor Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. The family entertainer, which also stars national sensation Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, revolved extensively around the father-son relationship, with Sarathkumar, Jayasudha, Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Yogi Babu, Shaam, Srikanth, Samyuktha Shanmughanathan, Sangeetha Krish, among others, with SJ Suryah also making a cameo appearance. With Varisu crossing more than 300 crores in box office collections, the team had last month shortly after the film's release held a special success bash, with photos from the celebrations taking social media by storm.

With Varisu still going strong in cinemas across Tamil Nadu, a video has now been released from the team's success bash last month after the film had been released. We see Vijay making a grand entrance during his arrival for the celebrations, with Vamshi Paidipally, Dil Raju, and the film's team welcoming him at the venue. Whether this is just a glimpse of the team's celebration Varisu is the first-time Vijay has collaborated with Vamshi for a film and is the second time Dil Raju is associated with the Tamil superstar's venture after he distributed Beast in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in 2022. With Varisu continuing to witness a strong audience turnout in theatres, the film's team is expected to make an announcement regarding the OTT release plans on Amazon Prime Video. Furthermore, fans are also looking forward to hearing word from the makers about the deleted scenes in the film featured on Khushbu Sundar and John Vijay, which were removed from the version released in theatres. Varisu is now the highest-grossing film in Vijay's glorious career surpassing the box office collections of the mass action sports entertainer, Bigil, released in 2019.
