'Thalapathy' Vijay's next big film, Varisu, scheduled for a grand Pongal release in January 2023, wrapped up production a few days back under popular Telugu filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally's direction. Being produced by Dil Raju under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, the upcoming film touted to be along the lines of Vijay's family entertainers in the '90s, will see national sensation Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. With the highly-anticipated Varisu first single track titled 'Ranjithame' set to be released later today, November 5, at evening 5.30 p.m., the makers have now shared an exciting new poster featuring Vijay and Rashmika together for the first time.

The new 'Ranjithame' poster shows from Varisu Vijay playing a lover boy with a rose in between his teeth, with a sly smile from ear to ear, while trying to brush Rashmika's hair away from her face to catch a glimpse of her. This is the first look of the actress from the film after she sometime back posted a photo of herself with the superstar on the sets, with the makers earlier sharing pictures of her during the pooja ceremony back in April. Composed by Thaman. S, 'Ranjithame' has been one of the most-discussed songs in the last two days after Sri Venkateswara Creations released a promo of the song, which had Vijay dancing to Jani master's choreography. Check out the 'Ranjithame' poster featuring Vijay and Rashmika from Varisu in the tweet below:

Sung by Vijay and M M Mansi to the lyrics penned by Vivek, the expectations for 'Ranjithame' in Varisu have been huge ever since the promo was released on Thursday. The buzz for the film and the tracks are massive considering it marks the first occasion Thaman has composed the songs for a Vijay-starrer and fans expect him to deliver a cracker of an album. Likewise, Rashmika, who will be seen for the first time on the big screen with Vijay, has on several occasions in the past professed her admiration for the actor and her inclusion in Varisu will undoubtedly be a big USP.
