Last year, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami had officially announced that popular Tamil actors Suriya, Jyothika, Karthi and Vivek would be part of the state’s plastic pollution-free drive as brand ambassadors.
The TN Chief Minister had also launched an exclusive web portal: www.plasticpollutionfreetn.org along with a mobile application while announcing that a ban on the use of plastic in the state would go into effect from January 1, 2019.
That said, Suriya under his 2D Entertainment banner has now released a video in the interest of public titled “Maaralaam, Maattralaam” directed by Harish Ram LH with cinematography by GK Vishnu, editing done by Kalaivanan R and music by Osho Venkat.
In this video, Suriya is seen explaining to children in school about the harmful effects of plastic and how it goes on to cause considerable damage to the ecosystem as well as bringing an imbalance to the functioning of life among all living beings. Check out the noble and informative video below:
