Silambarasan TR's Maanaadu has taken a stellar opening across Tamil Nadu and various parts of the world the film has released. Suresh Kamatchi, who has produced the mass masala political entertainer under his V House Productions banner, has been keeping fans updated on the film's Tamil Nadu box office collections over the past two days. In that light, the hit producer once again took to social media on Sunday to share the three-day TN box office report and informed that Maanaadu has collected 22 crore in the state, with the third day collections coming in at 8 crores. It is to be noted that the Venkat Prabhu directorial had collected 8 crores on day 1 and 6 crores on day 2, with the numbers expected to continue to go upwards in light of the weekend. Below is Suresh Kamatchi's tweet:

Maanaadu has turned out to be a sensational success for Simbu, who earlier this year tasted moderate success in Eeswaran and the latest massive triumph will no doubt lift his spirits up for his upcoming projects. Apart from STR, filmmaker turned actor S. J. Suryah has been an additional major USP for the film, with his antics as one among the antagonists serving as a big delight for audiences. S. J. Suryah has once again delivered a knockout performance and stands tall alongside Silambarasan as the two are involved in a cat and mouse chase throughout the narrative of Maanaadu

An engrossing action film, Maanaadu has won the audiences everywhere for its tightly-packaged and engrossing screenplay by Venkat Prabhu, including a thumping background score by Yuvan Shankar Raja, who also left his mark once again in the songs that have been released. Outside of the fiery performances of STR and S. J. Suryah, Maanaadu has an ensemble star cast that includes Kalyani Priyadarshan as the female lead, followed by S. A. Chandrasekhar, Y. Gee. Mahendran, Karunakaran, Premgi Amaren, Manoj Bharathiraja among others in pivotal roles.
