The one-minute and 59 seconds long trailer has been released on Think Music India’s youtube channel. Soppana Sundari has Aishwarya Rajesh as Agalya, National Award winner Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli as Thenmozhi - a mute girl, Karunakaran as Durai, Deepa Shankar as Selvi Amma and Sunil Reddy as a cop. The trailer shows that the film surrounds three women, Agalaya, Thenmozhi and Selvi, who struggle to make ends meet and what happens to them when they get lucky and win a car? It follows a line of events and ends with a question of whether they will get to keep the car as other powerful people get involved. Many people have commented that the film looks to be inspired by Nayanthara starrer Kolamavu Kokila. Despite this, the film will surely leave a mark on the audience
Soppana Sundari is said to be a dark comedy-drama directed by SG Charles. The director made his debut with the film Lock Up which was directly released on Zee 5. The film will also feature Redin Kingsley, dancer Sathish, Mime Gopi, Doctor fame Bjorn Surrao and others in lead roles. The film is bankrolled by Ahimsa Entertainment and a song and a motion poster from the film was released earlier. It has music composed by Ajmal Tahseen, DOP by Balamurugan and Viignesh Rajagopalam and Editing by Sarath Kumar. Soppan Sundari is a popular verse as it was first used in the famous Goundamani-Senthil comedy scene in the film Karakattakaran.
