Silambarasan TR's first big film of 2023, Pathu Thala, is gearing up for a massive release in theatres on March 30 and there is a huge excitement in the air among fans to witness him in action on the big screen once again. The upcoming gangster venture directed by Sillunu Oru Kaadhal fame Obeli N. Krishna and featuring music by Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman is one of the hottest films in the trade this year. With the first single 'Namma Satham' from the Simbu-starrer turning out to be a chart-topping hit, the makers have now announced that the much-awaited Pathu Thala teaser will be releasing on Friday, March 3 at 5:31 p.m.

Studio Green unveiled a special launch poster for STR's Pathu Thala teaser, while once again introducing the actor's character AGR to audiences along with the big announcement. The action film set in the Kanyakumari district will see the actor playing the role of a gangster and also stars Gautham Karthik, who is cast in the role of a police officer. Produced by K. E. Gnanavelraja's Studio Green in association with Jayantilal Gada's Pen Studios banner, Pathu Thala is a remake of the Kannada blockbuster Mufti directed by Narthan, which featured Dr. Shivarajkumar and Srimurali in the lead roles. Pathu Thala also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, who is playing the role of a Tehsildar, while GauthamVasudev Menon is cast as the antagonist, with Kalaiyarasan, Teejay Arunasalam, Redin Kingsley, Anu Sithara, Manushyaputhiran among others appearing in crucial roles. Silambarasan will be looking to make it a hat-trick with the film after his Maanaadu (2021) and Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu Part I: The Kindling (2022) became huge hits at the box office.
