Sj suryah journey carrying puppy dog for ajith kumar aasai shooting actor marimuthu reveals bommai fans festival - Tamil Movie Cinema News

S.J. Suryah is gearing up for his first big release of 2023 with Bommai, which sees him as the lead once again after appearing in key roles in several big films in the past couple of years. Having become a huge sensation after directing smash hits Vaali (1999), Kushi (2000), New (2004), and Anbe Aaruyire (2005), the filmmaker-actor made a shift to full-time acting and now has in his lineup upcoming biggies like Vishal's Mark Antony, Karthik Subbaraj's Jigarthanda Double X also starring Raghava Lawrence and a pivotal role in Ram Charan's Game Changer being directed by Shankar. With the release of Bommai right around the corner, S. J. Suryah recently took part in a special fans festival event organized by Galatta Media where he was joined by actor Marimuthu, who shared for the first time how the Maanaadu star during his assistant director days traveled from Chennai to Delhi carrying a puppy dog for the shooting of Ajith Kumar's 1995 film, Aasai, directed by Vasanth.

Marimuthu said, "I'll tell you about the Suryah whom I know. When we were working on Aasai, he was a hard worker and would not be worried about anything. If you have watched Aasai, you'll notice that there's a puppy dog that Ajith sir will present to Suvaluxmi as a gift. That puppy dog needs to be taken to Delhi for the Delhi shooting schedule, which I wasn't a part of. Prior to filming, at the Aalayam office, they handed over the puppy to Suryah with some money for travel expenses to Delhi. Is Delhi a place that is nearby like Chengalpet? If he were traveling alone, he could board an unreserved compartment and head to his destination. But, when it comes to a puppy dog, you are responsible for its life, and see to it reaches safely. But, he didn't hesitate for a second, got the money, caught an auto to Chennai Central, and bought everything that would be necessary for the puppy during the journey."

Marimuthu continued, "After boarding the train, he (S.J. Suryah) traveled for two days and two nights with the puppy dog and saw to it that it reached the shooting spot safely and in good health. Meanwhile, all the people in the unit were waiting eagerly for the puppy dog at the shooting spot. This is a huge achievement. Many people asked how he managed to travel to Delhi carrying a puppy dog all by himself without traveling in an AC coach, second coach, or third coach. He traveled in an unreserved compartment. But, all that mattered to him was his work and his dedication to take the puppy to the Delhi schedule. Only that was there in his eyes and that's Suryah for you."
