Blockbuster Tamil filmmaker Vignesh Shivan penned a heartfelt statement on the occasion of his first wedding anniversary late Thursday evening, June 8. The hit director also shared never-before-seen photos of his wife and leading actress Nayanthara and their two twin boys, RudroNeel N Shivan and Ulag Daiwik N Shivan, and expressed how his family has given him strength during all the tough times over the last year and credited them for the confidence and the energy to keep him motivated to pursue his dreams and goals.

Sharing pictures of Nayanthara, who is seen holding their twin boys RudroNeel and Ulag, Vignesh Shivan wrote in the caption: "en uyiroda Aadharam neengaldhaneyyy ☺️❤️🥰 (The proof of my life is you)." He then said, "1 year filled with a lotta moments ! Lotta Ups and downs Unexpected setbacks ! Testing times ! (sic)". The filmmaker continued, "But coming home to see a blessed family with immense love and affection reinstates soo much confidence and gives all the energy to keep running towards all the dreams and goals already manifested !" Expressing the joy of being a parent with Nayanthara, Vignesh Shivan said, "holding everything together , together with my - My Uyirs & Ulagams 😌😍 (sic)". Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara tied the knot on June 9, 2022, and were blessed with their twin boys, who were born via surrogacy on October 9 of the same year. The star couple, who first met on the sets of the 2015 blockbuster, Naanum Rowdydhaan, revealed the names of their children back in April this year.
