There's been yet another important casting development in 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo as renowned actor Denzil Smith, best known for his roles in blockbuster Hollywood filmmaker Christopher Nolan's Tenet (2020) and in season 2 of Netflix's Delhi Crime (2022), has now boarded the high-profile film. The popular actor, who has also appeared in notable films like The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, The Lunchbox, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, and Viceroy's House, will be seen in a key role in the upcoming Tamil gangster venture being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and has reportedly shot his portions with the team in Chennai over a period of four days.

Denzil Smith is the latest addition to the already packed star cast of Vijay's Leo and it will be interesting to see what director Lokesh Kanagaraj has planned for his role. The filmmaker has roped in some of the biggest and most prolific names in Tamil cinema and from across India to be a part of the project, which is being produced in a grand manner under S. S. Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studio. Leo is currently one of the most-awaited films of the year and social media has been abuzz with massive debate ever since it was revealed that Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj are collaborating for the second time after their Master (2021), and all eyes are now set on the duo to see what they're cooking up for fans when the film arrives in theatres on October 19 ahead of the Ayudha pooja festivities.
Leo will see Vijay sharing screen space once again with leading South Indian actress Trisha after 15 years and there is major excitement for the duo to recreate the magic from the 2000s when they starred in Ghilli (2004), Thirupaachi (2005), Aathi (2006), and Kuruvi (2008). With Denzel Smith now on board the upcoming biggie, he will be seen sharing screen space alongside several other big names among whom include Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist, while 'Action King' Arjun, Mysskin, Gautham Menon, Priya Anand, Sandy master, Malayalam actor Mathew Thomas form the rest of the ensemble cast. Leo also marks the second consecutive time Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj have joined hands with 'Rockstar' composer Anirudh Ravichander after Master and the trio is expected to deliver a cracker of an album.
