Sivakarthikeyan's first big film of 2023, Maaveeran, is gearing up for a massive release in theatres worldwide on July 14 and the second single announcement has now come out. Producer Arun Viswa's Shanthi Talkies is producing the upcoming action entertainer and has now revealed that the highly-anticipated second single from the film will be released on June 14. It has also been announced that the Maaveeran second single titled 'Vannarapettayila' will have vocals by none other than Sivakarthikeyan and the film's female lead Aditi Shankar, who became a youth sensation after her debut in Karthi's Viruman in 2022.
The announcement of the Maaveeran second single 'Vannarapettayila' has come out in the form of a promo featuring the film's director Madonne Ashwin and composer Bharath Sankar. The video starts off showing the duo convincing Aditi Shankar over the phone to sing the song while telling her that she will be joined by hit singer Sid Sriram. Both Madonne Ashwin and Bharath Sankar then call Sivakarthikeyan and request him to sing 'Vannarapettayila', while informing him that chart-topping singer Shreya Ghoshal will be giving him company.
Sivakarthikeyan and Aditi Shankar are then seen entering the recording studio, but they getting both surprised and shocked upon realizing that neither Sid Sriram nor Shreya Ghoshal is part of the Maaveeran second single. The two stars are then seen getting involved in a heated discussion while Madonne Ashwin and Bharath Sankar decide to break the confusion by giving them the cue to begin singing the 'Vannarapettayila' song, which will feature lyrics written by Yugabharathi. This latest promotional tactic by the team for the Maaveeran second single will no doubt get a good response and the subtle tease of the song towards the end of the promo hints at the track being a breezy yet fun and foot-tapping number.
