5 Tamil cinema star actors who should be considered for the powerful villain role in Ajith Kumar's VidaaMuyarchi

Ajith kumar vidaamuyarchi movie five tamil cinema star actors who should be considered for the villain role - Tamil Movie Cinema News

Ajith Kumar’s next film, VidaaMuyarchi, was officially announced on the Tamil superstar's birthday on May 1 by Lyca Productions. The film will see the leading Tamil actor joining hands with hit Tamil director Magizh Thirumeni, who is best known for his action thrillers like Thadaiyara Thaakka, Meaghamann, Thadam, and the Udhayanidhi Stalin-starrer Kalaga Thalaivan, which released last year. There is tremendous hype surrounding VidaaMuyarchi as it also sees the big reunion of Ajith and 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander once again after their last collaboration, Vivegam, in 2017, and expectations are huge for the composer to come out with foot-tapping songs and a thunderous background score.

With the excitement for VidaaMuyarchi getting bigger by the day, there has been a lot of debate on social media regarding the rest of the cast and the crew in the film. Up until now, Ajith is the only name announced and no other details regarding the cast and crew have been revealed, with recent reports stating that Kaithi and Master actor Arjun Das has boarded the film in a key role. Although Arjun Das' casting is yet to be officially confirmed, we have now put together a list of the leading Tamil cinema actors, who we think might be good choices to play the antagonist in VidaaMuyarchi considering they appeared in villain roles in the past.

VIJAY SETHUPATHI

'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi has dabbled with villain roles over the course of his career and his performances in gangster roles in 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Petta, 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Master and 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan's Vikram have left an indelible mark on the audience. With the actor sharing screen space with Tamil cinema's three biggest names, it has been a long-time desire for fans to witness him in action with Ajith and whether that would happen in VidaaMuyarchi remains to be seen, and would indeed be a dream come true moment for many if it ever materialized.

ARVIND SWAMI

Arvind Swami, from being a 'chocolate boy' redefined himself as a 'powerful antagonist’, with his charisma and intense acting in the 2015 blockbuster, Thani Oruvan, which left the audiences spellbound. Likewise, having made heads turn with his performance in negative roles in Bogan, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, and a few other films, the actor battling it out against Ajith on the big screen in VidaaMuyarchi makes us wonder how big the action could get.

S. J. SURYAH

One of Tamil cinema's most revered actors, S. J. Suryah has appeared in a different dimension altogether with each performance in films over the years and that includes masterclass in villainy and his extraordinary acting with an air of malevolence in films like Mahesh Babu's Spyder, 'Thalapathy' Vijay's s Mersal, and Silambarasan TR's Maanaadu to name a notable few. Having made his directorial debut in 1999 with Ajith in the lead role in Vaalee, the filmmaker-actor sharing screen space with the Tamil cinema superstar in VidaaMuyarchi would make his career come full circle and also be an explosive treat on the big screen for Tamil cinema fans.

FAHADH FAASIL

Fahadh Faasil’s absolute tour de force performance as a cold-blooded antagonist with a chilling intensity in Pushpa: The Rise despite appearing for a short duration grabbed the audience’s attention that lingered long after the credits rolled. Having impressed Tamil cinema audiences as one of the key actors in Kamal Haasan's Vikram and also by garnering a name for himself in negative roles in a few Malayalam films, it would no doubt be interesting to witness his nuanced acting brilliance while facing off against Ajith Kumar's larger-than-life aura in VidaaMuyarchi.

MYSSKIN

Mysskin played a negative role in Savarakathi despite the 2018 film being a Tamil black comedy drama, with his performance earning him immense praise at the time. All set to be seen as the chief antagonist in the upcoming Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Maaveeran releasing on July 14 and in a key role with negative shades in 'Thalapathy' Vijay' Leo on October 19, it raises the question as to how it would look if he shared the screen with Ajith in VidaaMuyarchi considering he goes the extra mile in acting as was witnessed in Thiagarajan Kumararaja's Super Deluxe in 2019 in which he played a pivotal role.
