Jayam Ravi is on cloud nine after the spectacular success of the Ponniyin Selvan films under Mani Ratnam's direction. The leading Tamil actor will next be teaming up with hit filmmaker Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, best known for her films Vanakkam Chennai (2013), Kaali (2018), and the ZEE5 web series Paper Rocket (2022), for a new venture to be produced under the Red Giant Movies banner. The Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi project will see Jayam Ravi and Thiruchitrambalam actor Nithya Menen sharing screen space for the first time, with a leading English daily now revealing that Academy Award winner A. R. Rahman will be composing the songs and the background score.

Although not much is known about the Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi directorial at this point, it is believed filming will begin in the days ahead once Jayam Ravi returns from his family vacation in Dubai. The upcoming film is incidentally also the second Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi venture to be produced under the Red Giant Movies banner after Vanakkam Chennai, while it marks the third time that A. R. Rahman will be composing the songs and the background score for a Jayam Ravi venture after the Ponniyin Selvan franchise.
Jayam Ravi will begin shooting for the Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi film next since the pre-production works on his project under the Vels Film International banner to be directed by filmmaker Mysskin's former associate Bhuvanesh Arjunan will take some more time to be completed. The actor also has in his lineup the highly-anticipated Siren being produced by the actor's mother-in-law Sujataa Vijayakumar's Home Movie Makers banner and sees him appearing alongside Keerthy Suresh under debutant Antony Bhagyaraj's direction. Jayam Ravi is also playing the lead in Endrendrum Punnagai and Manithan fame I. Ahmed's Iraivan and Jana Gana Mana, which are at present in various stages of production. The actor, who is fresh off from his portrayal as Arunmozhi Varman in the Ponniyin Selvan films, is also a part of the tentatively titled JR 30, which is being directed by Siva Manasula Sakthi fame M. Rajesh and also stars Priyanka Arul Mohan, with music composed by Harris Jayaraj under the Screen Scene Media Entertainment Pvt Ltd banner.
