Silambarasan TR will take over as the host of Bigg Boss Ultimate from today (Feb 27) and the special episode is all set to be aired from 6.30 PM only on the Disney Hotstar platform. Going forward, Silambarasan TR will appear during the weekends of the show, as the host, replacing Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan who has been the host since the inception of the game. This new role of STR has indeed made the fans super excited and his presence will give the show a wider reach and buzz among the masses. With that being said, the first promo of Bigg Boss Ultimate, with STR as the host, has now been released and it is interesting to see him on the sets of BB.

Simbu looks stylish and handsome and it looks like his anchoring will give the show a new dimension. While it is going to be a challenging task for Simbu to fill in the shoes of Kamal Haasan, we know that the young star will indeed deliver his best. Bigg Boss Ultimate, the show which kickstarted with 14 contestants, currently holds 9 housemates that include Balaji Murugadoss, Anitha Sampath, Suruthi, Abhirami Venkatachalam, Niroop Nandakumar, Snehan, Dhaadi Bhalagie, Thamarai Selvi, and Julie. Four contestants have been evicted so far - Suresh Chakravarthy, Suja Varunee, Shariq, and Abhinay Vaddi.

Earlier in the week, Vanitha Vijayakumar walked out of the show voluntarily citing her physical and mental health as the reason. The show began airing on January 30 is expected to end by mid-April. Though Bigg Boss Ultimate has not attained as wide popularity as its previous editions, the show has still managed to hold some of its audience. Bigg Boss Ultimate is available to stream 24/7 on the Disney Hotstar platform without any major cuts. Following the completion of Bigg Boss Ultimate, the show will take a break and come back for its sixth regular season which will see Kamal Haasan returning as the host.
