Actor Ajith Kumar's Valimai has taken a stunning opening in theatres across Tamil Nadu and has set the cash registers ringing everywhere. Filmmaker H. Vinoth has directed the mass action thriller under Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP banner in association with Zee Studios, with the songs composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while the background score is done by Ghibran. For a while now, several reports have stated that all is not well between producer Boney Kapoor and Yuvan and is the reason why the celebrated composer had opted out of doing the Valimai background score. However, Boney Kapoor has now himself in an exclusive interview to Galatta opened up on the confusion and dispelled the rumors, including giving an update on the plans for AK 61 with Ajith once again and his plans for a Bollywood film with Yuvan.

Addressing the confusion about the music in Valimai, Boney Kapoor said, "Yuvan is the music director. He's the one who did the songs." He added, "This is a film which justifies Yuvan's music. He's known for his BGMs and since H. Vinoth is friends with Ghibran, there could have been a discussion and tips shared about what could be done." Boney Kapoor then speaks about AK 61 saying, "Vinoth wants to work with Ghibran and it could be him or anyone. Since he thanked Ghibran in Valimai, there are chances he could do the music next." Boney Kapoor also said, "I like Yuvan's music so much and there's a probability he will be doing one of my Hindi films. He's as dear to me as he was. And, that's the reason I want him to score music for one of my Hindi films. That will happen soon."
