Santhosh Sivan has recently been honored with the Padma Shri Award. To celebrate this, actor Suriya had planned a surprise party for Santhosh Sivan in Mumbai, where the team is currently shooting for Anjaan. Celebrities including Madhavan, Riteish Deshmukh, Shruti Haasan, Prabhudeva, Samantha and the entire crew of Anjaan were present to celebrate the happy news.
Santhosh Sivan says, that he was being called by director Lingusamy to scout for locations. He had put it off, but the director took him to a location which Santhosh Sivan did not like much. When they both went to the next location, Santhosh Sivan was surprised to see Suriya and other actors standing to celebrate the award. He heartily thanked Suriya for this pleasant surprise.
