Today (January 10) marks three years since the release of Superstar Rajinikanth's Petta which was a blockbuster hit at the box office. Petta which was directed by Karthik Subbaraj was nothing short of a celebration and the film received a warm welcome from the fans and family audiences. People were happy to witness an energized and vibrant Rajinikanth and it took them back to the good old Padaiyappa and Baasha days. Anirudh Ravichander's musical score was one of the major backbones of the movie. Petta released along with Ajith Kumar's Viswasam and interestingly, both the films turned out to be highly successful at the box office, making it a rare occasion.

Marking the third year anniversary of Petta, the makers released a new deleted scene from the movie as a treat for the fans and this unseen visual glimpse has taken everyone by excitement. In this scene, we see the character of Kaali (Rajinikanth) running into Jithu (Vijay Sethupathi) for the first time and it has been interestingly shot. This scene leads to the song, 'Thappad Maara' (ft Vijay Sethupathi) which was also deleted from the film due to length constraints. This deleted scene has already grabbed the attention of the fans on social media.

Director Karthik Subbaraj is an ardent fanboy of Superstar Rajinikanth and he never fails to surprise the fans with the unseen stuff from Petta every year. Earlier in the evening, Karthik shared an unreleased poster that looked powerful and electrifying. The fans are anticipating and waiting for Karthik Subbaraj to do one more film with Rajinikanth, but we will have to wait for a few more months to know if the collaboration would happen. If it happens, one can be sure of the film's success. Let us keep our fingers crossed until then. For now, check out the newly released deleted scene from Rajinikanth's Petta here:
