Ponniyin Selvan was a two-part film that was called the Magnum Opus of director Mani Ratnam. The second part was released in April, and the blockbuster hit film was based on a set historical fiction books under the same name. Many fans have been thrilled and asked the makers of the film to release the original background by A.R. Rahman. A few days ago, the Oscar-winning music composer also revealed that Part A of the background score would be released soon, and now the makers have revealed the awaited Ponniyin Selvan original score Part A. Sharing the OST, the music composer said "feel the music of the cholas"

The 33-minute long video features 16 tracks from Ponniyin Selvan. Some of the exciting tracks that have been released are Saaya Sanjale, which is the background score featured during the epic face-off scenes between Aishwarya Rai’s Nandini and Trisha’s Kudhavai character. It also features Oo Rey Sooriyare, which plays when Arulmozhi Varman goes missing, and Soodanathu Rattham, another track that was requested by many featured in P.S.2. Other tracks that are also present on the OST include Armageddon, Arunmozhi’s Dilemma, Chozha’s Bravery, Conspiracy, Exotic Queen, Life at Lanka, Nandini’s Fortress, The Guardian Angel, The Pandiyan’s Oath, The Thirst for the Throne, The Wise King, VT’s Play, and Vanathi’s Message.

Many songs from the two-part film Ponniyin Selvan became chart toppers, and now, that a part of the OST has been released, fans look forward to the release of the other part of the OST. The second part of the blockbuster hit film directed by Iconic director Mani Ratnam was released in April.
