Ponniyin Selvan is a blockbuster hit two-part film that is praised as the ‘Magnum Opus’ of director Mani Ratnam. The film based on the historical fiction book series of the same name had a huge cast and also featured music composed by Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman. Months ago, the music director of the film had shared that he would revealed the Original soundtrack of the film on the 100th day of P.S. 2 release. Now, The music composer has dropped a hint about the release of the sound score on his Twitter account. A.R. Rahman has said, "PS Score, Enroute, Part A." This statement from the music composer confirms that a part of the OST of Ponniyin Selvan will be released soon.

The lyricist Ilango Krishnan, who penned the lyrics for most of the songs of Ponniyin Selvan, also shared a post on his Facebook page yesterday. He stated that the first single from Ponniyin Selvan, titled Ponni Nadhi was released last year. In his heartfelt statement, he said the song gave him an identity and brought him huge praises. He also added that it gave him a huge recognition that he had not witnessed in his last twenty years of literary journey. He added that he worked very hard over the past year and will continue to work hard in the coming year.
The songs from both Ponniyin Selvan films became chart toppers. Aga Naga was one of the songs that became a huge hit and featured many Instagram reels. Now, A.R. Rahman has shares about the OST release of the blockbuster hit film. It was directed by Mani Ratnam and had a huge cast that included 'Chiyaan' Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Prabhu, R. Sarath Kumar, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, and others in important roles. The second part of the film was released on April 28.
