Many filmmakers, actors and those in the film industry have shared their praises and views about the film. Recently, director Pa Ranjith shared his views of the film. The director said the film Mamannan portrays the cast-based disparities in political parties, even in those parties that follow principles of social justice. The director further stated the film Maamannan is proof of many questions. He added "high praises for minister, actor and producer Udhayanidhi Stalin and he must be aware of the cast discrimination within the DMK party. We shall hope he will start to eliminate such disparities with this film as the beginning." He then praised Mari Selvaraj and 'Vaigai Puyal' Vadivelu.

He further said that on the political level, the government is constantly fighting for social justice through laws and programs. "From a  Parashakti to Maamannan, we have been continuously promoting social justice in art forms. It is an unfinished century-long struggle for equality against a thousand-year-old “Sanathanam”. He further added, “We all know a single film cannot bring revolution in society, In the pathway shown by Periyar-Amedhkar, let's make the change happen by bringing forth conversation with people."
