"The celebration begins..." - Mari Selvaraj, Keerthy Suresh and Udhayanidhi Stalin commemorate the success of Maamannan with A.R. Rahman, actor-producer releases a special statement

Maamannan is a recent film that was released in theatres on 29th June and has Udhayanidhi Stalin and ‘Vaigai Puyal' Vadivelu in lead roles. The team of Maamannan including the actor, director Mari Selvaraj, and Keerthy Suresh celebrated the success of the film with music composer A.R. Rahman. The photos shared by the production of Red Giant Films that bankrolled the film show the actor turned politician offering flowers to A.R. Rahman and Mari Selvaraj offering a basket of flowers to the music composer. It then shows the cast and crew cutting a cake and celebrating the event. The production house shared the photos with the caption “And they are called the Blockbuster team" and added "the celebrations begin with Maamannan running successfully at the box officer worldwide."

Actor and producer of Maamannan Udhayanidhi Stalin has also shared pictures from the success celebration and said "On behalf of film crew, we express our gratitude to Isaipuyal A.R. Rahman who has made the film a success with lively music". The oscar Award winning composer's son Ameer was also present during the celebrations. It is speculated that the film has collected Rs.10 crores in the two-day theatrical run of the film. It will make the last film of Udhayanidhi Stalin as an actor as he has taken oath as a Minister in the Tamil Nadu assembly and the actor recently confirmed this information in an interaction with the press and media.

The film also has Fahad Faasil playing an important role with popular actor Lal and Raveena of Love Today fame and Geetha Kailasam in character roles. The film created huge excitement among movie goes as it features popular trendsetting comedian 'Vaigai Puyal' Vadvelu in a new avatar in a serious role.
