With Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu's release around the corner, Galatta Plus recently interacted with its director Gautham Vasudev Menon. The Editor-in-Chief of Galatta Plus, Baradwaj Rangan talked to Gautham Menon, discussing in deep about Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu and more. During the interaction, Gautham Menon made a breaking revelation about VTK and we are sure this will make a lot of people look forward to the film. The voice overs have been an integral part of Gautham Menon films and people who've been following his work since the beginning would be knowing it.

However, the extensive usage of voice-overs in Gautham's previous directorial venture, Enai Noki Paayum Thota, backfired and was criticised by the majority. That being said, the ace filmmaker has completely cut down the usage of voice-overs in Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu and he talked in detail about the same in the interview. Talking about it, he said, "I have written a lot of my films with voice-over style narration and all that and I am scared to do that now. I haven't done it here (in Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu) and Jeyamohan sir also mentioned that since there was a negative thing coming out from that film and "you've done it in many other films, let's not do that in the screenplay at all Gautham", he said.

Even recently, when I asked him if this moment, the last 3 minutes in the film, can be described through a voice over, he said "No let's not do it". Let's keep the audience away from any of your earlier films is what he said".

Well, this tells us that Gautham Menon has indeed stepped out of his comfort zone and has treated Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu in a completely different style. A very exciting treat awaits fans. The film will release in theatres on September 15 and the fans are eagerly looking forward to the d-day.
