Media and Entertainment Business Conclave 2009 at Chennai
The grand Media and Entertainment Business Conclave will be held on November 18 and�19 at Le Royal Meridian Hotel, Chennai. Several delegates from the media world are in Chennai to participate in this conclave organized by FICCI.
On November 18, the MEBC will be inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Dr. Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi along with Smt. Ambika Soni, Union Minister of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India. Harsh Pati Singhania, President of FICCI, will give the welcome address. Later, Yash Chopra, Karan Johar (renowned film maker of Bollywood), A.O. Parigi (CEO of Eros International), Mohanlal and Mammooty(Malayalam actors) and Kamal Haasan (Tamil actor and Chairman, Media and Entertainment Conclave, FICCI) will also address the participating delegates.
The conclave has an interesting lineup of presentations and discussions. Ajay Vidyasagar, COO Sun Network, will analyze the future media and entertainment. This will be followed by a discussion on the revenue generated from User Generated Content, with several prominent people from the field participating.
The next session would be on film financing. Some top banks and corporate bodies will be represented in this discussion; speakers include R. Ravichander, Group Executive Vice President, YES Bank, Juliane Schulze, Senior Partner, peacefulfish (Germany)

The next two sessions are about the advent and growth of reality TV and animation. Another session would examine the business and dynamics of digital cinema and film laboratories which supplement it.
Moderated by Kiran Reddy, Chairman and Managing Director, Sathyam Cinemas, there is also an interactive session on the future of the cinema theatre.
