Legendary director Bharathiraja’s son and actor Manoj Bharathiraja will be making his directorial debut with a new Tamil film which will be produced by Ravindar Chandrasekaran under his banner of Libra Productions. Ravindar rose to fame after his interviews about Bigg Boss and Vanitha Vijayakumar's controversy. The shooting of this film is planned to begin early next year, while the release has been planned towards the end of 2021. Details regarding the rest of the cast and crew is yet to be known and further updates are awaited. An elated Manoj Bharathiraja thanked producer Ravindar Chandrasekaran for believing in his content and added that he feels like this is a rebirth of sorts. 

Manoj Bharathiraja wrote, "Can't thank you enough in words for what you have done for me @LIBRAProduc Ravinder sir. This is literally a rebirth of sorts and I am happy to make my directorial debut in a banner that respects people and values content. We shall together never look back. @offBharathiraja". The film is tentatively addressed as Production #7, marking the seventh production venture of Ravindar Chandrasekaran. Manoj Bharathiraja is currently acting in STR's upcoming political drama, Maanaadu, directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Suresh Kamatchi. Manoj will be looking forward to making a promising debut as a director and let us keep our fingers crossed.

Ravindar is currently producing Shanthnu's upcoming comedy drama, Murungaikkai Chips, directed by debutant Srijar. This film features Athulya Ravi as the female lead and has music scored by Dharan Kumar. The first single (titled 'Edho Solla') from the film was released a few weeks before and it received a very good response from the fans. The shooting of Murungaikkai Chips is happening currently in Chennai with a minimal crew, following the Covid 19 protocols. Veteran director and Shanthnu's father, K Bhagyaraj will be seen in an important role, alongside Yogi Babu, Manobala, 'Jangree' Madhumitha, Reshma Pasupuleti and others. This film will have cinematography by Ramesh Chakravarthy, editing by Jomein, art direction by Narmadha Veni.
