Debut director Ashwath Marimuthu’s Oh My Kadavule, which starred Ashok Selvan, Ritika Singh, and Vani Bhojan in the lead roles, received positive reviews from the critics and general audience. The film struck a chord with the audience, especially the youngsters, for its relatable fantasy theme. The film was produced by Ashok Selvan and Abinaya Selvam’s Happy High Pictures, in association with G.Dilli Babu’s Axess Film Factory. Even before the release, the Telugu remake rights of this feel-good romantic drama was acquired by PVP Cinemas and the pre-production works are said to be on.Then it was informed that the Hindi remake of Oh My Kadavule is also on cards. Director Ashwath Marimuthu, in a recent Instagram live chat, revealed that the makers are planning to remake the film in Hindi. Ashwath shared that he is currently working on the script of the Telugu remake and simultaneously, works for the Hindi remake are also in progress. Apart from these works, Ashwath has also completed writing for a Tamil film, which he might be making in the near future. Ashwath Mairmuthu’s Oh My Kadavule gets another big recognition, Telugu Superstar Mahesh Babu who had watched the film recently is so impressed with it. He took to his Twitter page to share a few words about the film, Mahesh said he enjoyed every bit of the movie, he admired the performance of all the actor and felt the lead Ashok Selvan so natural.

Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film went on to become a huge hit among fans as well as critics. She replied to Mahesh Babu’s tweet saying “OH MY GODDD Is this for real?! Thank you SOO MUCH Sir! This means a lot coming from you WHAT A DAY!!!!!” Oh My Kadavule is a big break for Ashok Selvan who has not been seen on the big screens since 2017 before this film’s release also thanked Mahesh Babu, “Definitely my #OhMyKadavule Moment! Thank you so so much sir!! :) big fan! I’m literally dancing here.” The elated young director Ashwant also had a few words to say about Mahesh Babu’s tweet - “Sirrr !!!!! Oh my god !! U made my day :) from being your fan to get such words from you is like ... mind blocked sir @urstrulyMahesh.”
