Maamannan is the next big film of actor Udhayanidhi Stalin that is helmed by director Mari Selvaraj. The film also has the veteran actor 'Vaigai Puyal' Vadivelu in an important role. It has created huge excitement among people as the song and glimpses from the movie that was released show the actors in a who ole new avatar. Apart from the two leading actors s the film also has Keethy Suresh playing the female lead and has Malayalam actor Fahad Faasil in an important ore. Now, the makers of the film have revealed the long-awaited trailer of the film and the release at of the film is revealed to be 29th June.

The trailer of Maamannan opens with a dialogue narration from 'Vaigai Puyal' Vadivelu as he says he will keep singing the same song again and again and he will keep searching for ears that will seek truth. The visuals show the characters played by Udhayanidhi Stalin and Vadivelu are related. The trailer then shows that Fahad Faasil plays a character with a negative shade as he shoots a person in the head. It has some intense scenes where the whole village is gathered along with Keerthy Suresh, with Vadivelu as the head. Glimpses of flash back sequences are also shown. The trailer then ends on a high note with bloodied Udhayanidhi Stalin and Vadivelu sitting on a chair in a house while the door is being pounded the persons calls "Heyy.. Maamannaa.."
Maamannan will be for the path-breaking director Mari Selvaraj who previously made the films Pariyerum Perumal and Karnan. The film also has songs and backgrounds composed by Oscar award-winning composer A.R. Rahman. The trailer created huge hype for the film which is set to be released in two weeks in theatres. The audio launch event of the film happened as a massive event in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and it shows a different shade of the composer. It is also said that the film be the last one for actor Udhayanidhi Stalin as he has taken up the role of minister of the Tamil Nadu cabinet.
