Ashok Selvan expresses his wish for Por Thozil sequel - says the shooting was "not fun but satisfying"! Here's why

Por Thozhil is a recent hit film featuring Ashok Selvan and Sarath Kumar in the lead role. The film opened to positive reviews and has been running successfully in theatres for a week. It's makers Applause Entertainment have now released the second making video from the film featuring actor Ashok Selvan. The actor also spoke about the character that he plays named Prakash in the film. The actor began by saying he want to play cop for a long time and this character asks why should all police have a moustache and questioned shouldn’t they be approachable. The character has fear and inexperienced but puts up a brave face, Ashok Selvan explained. 

“I have seen and heard many serial killer films, and the emotional layer was different and intact,” said the actor Ashok Selvan. He then spoke about his co-star Sarath Kumar. The actor said he would always come prepared for the role after reading scene papers and was very prepared. He said it broke down his thought that senior actors will just come with free hands to the set, “he was just the opposite and even if we do Por Thozil 2, it would be great”. He then said he had to shoot for 36 days at night and it was hard, physically and mentally tiring. He said this film was intense filmmaking and for some films he had shot like a picnic. He said the shooting was "not fun but satisfying" and then went on to speak about the director and team.

The making video of Por Thozil featuring Sarath Kumar was released yesterday and the veteran actor spoke about his experiences while filming the movie. Ashok Selvan has expressed his hope to work on a film with him again and Sarath Kumar also said the same in his video. Apart from the two actors, the film also has Malayalam actress Nikila Vimal in an important role and is helmed by director Vignesh Raja. Watch the intense making video here:
