Popular television actress and YouTuber Chhavi Mittal, best known for playing Tulsi in the serial Krishnadasi, has revealed that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. The TV star took to Instagram and penned an emotional note on her diagnosis and spoke about how tough her fight against cancer is going to be. Posting a photo of herself, Mittal wrote, ''Dear breasts, This is an appreciation post for you. The first time I noticed your magic was when you gave me immense pleasure.. but your importance peaked when you fed both my babies. Today it’s my turn to stand by you when one of you fights cancer. Its not the best thing to happen, but it doesn’t have to bog my spirits down. It’s not going to be easy, but it doesn’t have to be tough. I might not look the same again, but it doesn’t have to make me feel different."

Mittal, who is married to film and TV director Mohit Hussein and has a son Arham and daughter Areeza further, is one among the creators of the Shitty Ideas Trending or SIT YouTube channel. She stated, "A big cheer for all breast cancer survivors.. you have no idea how much inspiration I draw from you today. And also, for those of you who already know, thank you for being so supportive. Every call you make, every msg you send, every visit you pay me.. is appreciated no end and that’s all that makes a difference."

Chhavi Mittal, who has been receiving messages of support from friends and fans on social media for her post, extended her heartfelt gratitude, while also sharing a video featuring herself in which she speaks about the things not to be said to a cancer patient. She said, "Cancer is a fight for not just the patient but everybody around them. The least you can do is be sensitive. No two cancer journeys are the same, but then… why’s there a need to compare? And lastly, nobody’s ‘lucky’ to have cancer, though you are very lucky if you detect it early. As I am. I’m also extremely lucky to have real sensitive people in my social media community. You guys give me strength no end with your messages and wishes and experiences! Thank you for that! Keep them coming 🙏" Mittal continued, "Heading for a PET Scan pre-surgery. I keep thinking I’ll be lucky enough for the cancer to simply not be there anymore! Whatever it’ll be, I’m prepared."
