Ajith Kumar's Thunivu is getting ready for its massive theatrical release in January 2023 for the festive occasion of Pongal and a grand opening is on the cards. Interestingly, the film will have an epic clash with Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu, and a historical Pongal is coming up. The film has music composed by Ghibran who is working with AK on a full-fledged note for the first time. Ghibran contributed to Valimai with his background score for a few sequences, while Thunivu will mark his first ever outing with Ajith. That said, an interesting musical update on the film has been known and it has garnered wide attention on social media.

Youth musical sensation, Vaisagh has been roped in to record for a song in Thunivu and it is indeed an exciting collaboration to watch out for. It is appreciable of Ghibran to work with upcoming budding talents that too for a mega biggie that the entire industry is waiting for. Vaisagh took to his official Instagram page to express his happiness about the collaboration. Sharing the picture, he wrote, "Expect the unexpected ✍️🔥Thank you for everything sir @ghibranofficial". Though there has been no mention of Thunivu in the caption, we hear that the collaboration is for the Ajith starrer. Vaisagh seems to have penned lyrics for one of the tracks and further details are awaited.

Vaisagh is known for composing viral hit independent tracks like 'Kaaka Kadha', 'En Rant ah Konjam Kelu', and 'Edhuvum Kedaikalana'. Thunivu is directed by H Vinoth who is collaborating with Ajith Kumar for the third consecutive time after Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai. Produced by Boney Kapoor under the banner of Bayview Projects, the film will be released in Tamil Nadu through the banner of Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies, ensuring the movie's wide and smooth release.

The post theatrical digital streaming rights of Thunivu is acquired by Netflix, while the television satellite rights belong to Kalaignar TV.
