Mamathi has also acted in a pivotal role in Radikaa Sarathkumar's hit serial, Vani Rani. She took part in the second season of Bigg Boss Tamil as one of the contestants, but she got evicted in just two weeks. Thunivu is directed by H Vinoth, marking his third collaboration with Ajith Kumar and Boney Kapoor after Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai.
