Junior NTR to remake Bobbili Puli?

Legendary Telugu actor N.T. Rama Rao's super hit Bobbili Puli (1982), scripted and directed by veteran Narayana Rao Dasari, is widely rumoured to be remade by his grandson Junior NTR, again�under the direction of Narayana Rao Dasari. It is learnt that Junior NTR�expressed joy when Dasari Narayana Rao proposed the project.

If everything goes well, the film will begin in March. Junior NTR recently met Dasari Narayana Rao at his residence to express his congratulations on winning the NTR award for his outstanding contribution to Telugu cinema. Dasari Narayana Rao has been in the industry for more than four decades. It is heard�they had an informal talk about the remake during his visit.

Bobbili Puli was produced by eminent producer Vadde Ramesh (father of Vadde Naveen) under the banner of Vijaya Madhavi Combines. Sridevi was cast opposite NTR, while Kongara Jaggaiah played a key role in the film that had music by J.V. Raghavulu. Bobbili Puli was�about a war hero who returns to his home town only to find�society in a mess. He tries to repair the society in his own way and ends up getting hanged.

Meanwhile, Junior NTR, who recently agreed to campaign for his grandfather's Telugu Desam Party (TDP), is all set to begin his tour all over Andhra Pradesh from March 12 right up to the elections. According to party insiders, Junior NTR plans to begin his campaign from Srikakulam district.

Before he sets off on his tour, Junior NTR is racing to finish his next film (untitled) starring Nayantara, directed by V.V. Vinayak, produced by Vallabhaneni Vamsi and presented by Kodali Nani under Vaishnavi Arts banner. The young star has already signed another film under Vamsi Paidaipalli's direction which is to be produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations banner.
